Heard the learned counsel appearing for the respective parties.
The petitioner is an accused in connection with ACB Dhanbad P.S. Case No. 10 of 2024.
It has been alleged that an amount of Rs. 10,000/- was demanded from the complainant by the petitioner for providing electrical connection and on a complaint being made, a trap was laid and an amount of Rs. 8,000/- was recovered from the possession of the petitioner.
Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner was merely a contractual employee in JVNL, DVC Office, Giridih. It has further been submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 19.12.2024 and on completion of investigation charge sheet has been submitted.
Mr. Vineet Kr. Vashistha, learned Spl.P.P. (ACB) has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner.
Regard being had to the period of custody undergone by the petitioner and the fact that charge sheet has been submitted, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge (Vigilance), Dhanbad in connection with Special Vigilance Case No. 10 of 2024 arising out of ACB Dhanbad P.S. Case No. 10 of
2024.
