(Oral) Applicants Blaka Singh and Lovejeet Singh Gill @ Lovely are in judicial custody in FIR No. 66 of 2024, under Section 8/18 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, Police Station Pulbhatta, District Udham Singh Nagar. They have sought their release on bail. 2. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 3. According to the FIR, on 14.03.2024, upon information having been received, when a vehicle was intercepted by the police, the applicants were arrested with commercial quantity of Opium with them. 4. Learned counsel for the applicants would submit that the entire case is false. He would submit that as per the prosecution, inventory report, which was lodged in the police station by GD Report No. 2 of 15.03.2024, was prepared at the spot, but it bears the FIR number. 2 5. The Court posed a question to the learned State Counsel as to how the inventory report could bear the FIR number, which was lodged much thereafter? 6. Learned State Counsel, under instruction, would submit that as per the instruction the FIR Number was recorded in the inventory report after the FIR was lodged. But, she would submit that there is no document in support of it. 7. Having considered, this Court is of the view that it is a case fit for bail and the applicants deserve to be enlarged on bail. 8. The bail application is allowed. 9. Let the applicants be released on bail, on their executing a personal bond and furnishing two reliable sureties, each of the like amount, by each one of them, to the satisfaction of the court concerned.
