The petitioners through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking direction to respondents to consider them for the post of Assistant Sub-Inspector in Rohtak Range, Rohtak.

The petitioners are claiming benefit of promotion at par with Jaipal and other officials.

On 07.09.2022, this Court passed the following order: -
“A copy of the affidavit filed on behalf of respondents No.1 to 4 in the Registry, has been furnished to the counsel for the petitioner today in Court. A categoric stand has been taken in the said affidavit that promotion as given to Jaipal and other police officials vide order dated 11.12.2015 has been set aside.
Faced with this, counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners herein who has been seeking the same benefit as MOHIT KUMAR 2025.07.31 15:52 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this
order/judgment.

-2- accorded to Jaipal, seeks to verify whether or not the impugned order withdrawing the promotion to Jaipal and others, has been challenged in a writ court or not.
Adjourned to 21.10.2022.”

Faced with aforesaid order, learned counsel for the petitioner expressed his inability to point out any order of this Court or any other authority whereby order of withdrawal of benefit of promotion extended to Jaipal and other police officials has been set aside.

In the backdrop, the present petition deserves to be dismissed and accordingly dismissed. The petitioners are at liberty to move an appropriate application within three months from today if they find that benefit extended to Jaipal and others has been restored.
