1. The short grievance projected by the petitioner herein in the instant petition is that despite the threat assessed by the respondent SSP Kupwara suggesting that the petitioner has a general threat at the hands of anti national elements, in terms of letter dated 02.04.2025 to respondent 2-Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, the residential accommodation of the petitioner herein allotted to him earlier by the respondent 2 herein has been ordered to be taken back in terms of
order dated 13.03.2025 to be handed over to the private respondent 6 herein has exposed the petitioner herein and his family to the said threat to his life and the life of his other family members.

According to counsel for the petitioner though a representation post issuance of order dated 13.03.2025 based upon the said threat perception assessed by the Sr. Superintendent of Police Kupwara is pending before the respondents 2, yet, no decision thereof has been rendered compelling the petitioner herein to approach this Court though the medium of instant petition for protection and preservation of right to life.
3. Having regard to the case set up by the petitioner herein in the instant petition inasmuch as the submissions of the counsel for the petitioner, it is deemed appropriate to dispose of the instant petition at this stage without issuing notice and inviting returns from the respondents.
4. Accordingly, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent 2-the Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, to accord effective
consideration to the representation of the petitioner herein claimed to have been pending before him and pass appropriate orders thereof without any delay taking into consideration the threat assessment report dated 02.04.2025 submitted by the respondent Sr. Superintendent of Police, Kupwara, herein in respect of the petitioner.
The decision as directed above, be taken and conveyed to the petitioner herein within 15 days from today and till such time the said decision is taken, present position qua the possession of the residential quarter/Irrigation Hut in question situated at Lal Kul Kupwara be maintained.
