IN THE HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT SRINAGAR
WP(C) No. 781/2025 Ali Mohammad Danthoo …Petitioner(s)/appellant(s) Through: Mr. Bilal Ahmad Khan, Advocate Vs. UT of J&K and Anr ...Respondent(s) Through:
CORAM:
HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE JAVED IQBAL WANI, JUDGE
O R D E R 08-04-2025
The short grievance projected by the petitioner in the instant petition is that, despite having applied to the respondents for issuance of a duplicate route permit in respect of a goods carrier bearing registration No. JK22- 7199, which was validly and legally purchased by the petitioner from its erstwhile owner, the respondents are not issuing the duplicate permit as the original route permit of the vehicle has been lost. Having regard to the grievance projected by the petitioner in the instant petition and the reliefs prayed for therein, it is deemed appropriate not to retain the instant petition on Board, but to dispose of the same with a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for issuance of a duplicate route permit qua the vehicle in question, strictly in accordance with law and applicable rules, without any further delay and preferably within a period of four week’s from the date a copy of this order is produced by the petitioner before the respondents.
Disposed of.
