1. This is an ofÏce reference.
2. This Court, vide order dated 02.08.2024, passed in MCRC No. 5485 of 2024, while allowing the bail to the applicant, namely, Parmanand Nayak, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if there was no legal impediment.
3. The learned Additional Sessions Judge, (F.T.C.) Balodabazar District- Balodabazar-Bhatapara (C.G.), vide his request letter dated KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN
2 17.01.2025 has requested for grant of some more time for concluding the trial.
4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that this case was presented before the present presiding ofÏcer on 08/01/2025 for hearing. Witness Nos. 01 and 02 were issued bailable warrants through the Superintendent of Police and witness Nos. 04, 05, and 06 were issued summons on 16/01/2025 and 17/01/2025. However, none of the witnesses appeared to give evidence on either of these dates. The case has been scheduled for 29/01/2025 and 30/01/2025 for evidence. Hence, the conclusion of the trial may likely to take some time, therefore, he prays for grant of further more time for concluding the same.
5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is
directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today.
6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction.
7. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/-
