No. 500 of 2025 __________ Page2 of 4 ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to the 1st respondent to hold an enquiry under section 151 of PSO against the third respondent and punish in accordance with law by keeping under suspension pending enquiry in pursuant to the petitioner representation dated 08.07.2025. 2. It is seen the petitioner’s wife was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 03.06.2025 pursuant to the FIR in Crime No. 259 of 2025, registered for an offence under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Upon completion of the investigation, a charge sheet was filed, and the same was taken cognizance of by the trial court. During the trial, the case ended in an acquittal on the ground of a compromise arrived at between the accused and the de facto complainant. The petitioner has now submitted a representation seeking suitable action against the 3rd respondent and other police personnel for registering the FIR against his wife and himself. Admittedly, the petitioner’s wife entered into a compromise with the de facto complainant, and consequently, the case ended in an acquittal.
