The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Gawan P.S. Case No. 103 of 2024, for the offences registered under Sections 87/96/3(5) of the B.N.S. and Sections 9/10/11 of the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, pending in the Court of Sri Mahboob Alam, learned JMFC, Giridih. Petitioner happens to be the Bua of the victim Supriya Kumari. She got the victim married to one Nitish Prasad. The victim was residing with her maternal grandfather as her parents passed away. The informant who is the grandmother of the victim has lodged this case. It was submitted that the petitioner got the victim married with her consent. It was further submitted that the victim is aged between 17 to 18 years. It was finally submitted that parties have settled their dispute. In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of Sri Mahboob Alam, learned JMFC, Giridih or his successor, in connection with Gawan P.S.
