By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following relief:- (i) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of writ of certiorari to quash the order passed by the Chief Election Officer Respondent No. 5 of the present writ petition on 6.5.2023, which is Annexure No. 7 to the present writ petition. (ii) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of writ of Mandamus and direct the present Chief Election commissioner Respondent No. 6 to allow the present Applicant to contest the Election for the post of Chairman/President of the Library of the Rosanabad to be held on 8.5.2023, and stay the result of the Bar Association Rosanabad Haridwar, during the pendency of the present writ petition, otherwise, the present Applicant shall suffer in justice. (iii) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of writ of Mandamus directing the Respondent No. 2 and 3, of the present writ petition to take legal action against the Respondent No. 4 of the present writ petition, otherwise, the present Applicant shall suffer in justice. 4. From the pleadings made and relief sought in the writ petition, it is revealed that writ petition has become infructuous by efflux of time. The election of District Bar Association Roshnabad was held in the month of May, 2023 and the term of the elected Office Bearers had also expired, thus, the relief, as claimed in 2025:UHC:8541 the writ petition, cannot be granted at this belated stage. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed, as infructuous.
