The present writ petition has been filed under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India, 1950, seeking to set aside of the Order dated 18.09.2025 passed by the learned Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunal, New Delhi (“DRAT”) in Regular Appeal bearing No. 22 of 2025, and for issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of mandamus / certiorari or any other appropriate writ/order/direction, thereby waving off the pre-deposit amount entirety or, in the alternative, reducing the pre-deposit amount from 50% to 25% of the amount due. 2. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that although he has deposited 25% of the total due amount till date, to show his bona fide, he is ready and willing to deposit a further amount of Rs.25,00,000/- before the DRAT within a period of four weeks. 4. In view thereof, the present writ petition is disposed of with permission to the petitioner to deposit a further sum of Rs.25,00,000/- before the learned DRAT within a period of four weeks from today. 5. In the event the aforesaid amount is deposited before the learned DRAT within the aforesaid period, the learned DRAT shall proceed to hear the appeal on merits and decide the same as expeditiously as possible, in accordance with law. 6. In the event of failure, without any further orders, the appeal before the learned DRAT, shall also stand dismissed. 7. The writ petition stands disposed of. 8.
