Natarajan For Respondent(s): Mr.S.Ramasubramaniam Associates Order This Writ Miscellaneous Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the writ petitioner/management to pay the last drawn wages, inclusive of allowances and other admissible benefits, in terms of Section 17-B of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947. 2. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner/management submitted that they do not propose to file any counter affidavit to the petition filed under Section 17-B of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947. 3. In view of the above submission and considering the statutory mandate contained in Section 17-B of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, the respondent/workman is entitled to receive the last drawn wages during the pendency of the writ proceedings. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WMP No. 32930 of 2025 __________ Page3 of 4 4. Accordingly, this Writ Miscellaneous Petition is allowed. The writ petitioner/management is directed to pay the wages, as contemplated under Section 17-B of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, from the date of filing of the writ petition before this Court and continue to pay the same during the pendency of the writ petition, subject to the provisions of the Act.
