Umar, Advocate for the petitioner. 2. Mr. B.C. Joshi, A.G.A. for the State. 3. By means of the present writ petition, the petitioner has sought the following relief:- “(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus, commanding/directing the respondent no.4 to produce progress report of F.I.R. No.0125/2024 dated 27-3-2024, U/s 307 & 394 of Indian Penal Code, 1860, lodged by petitioner at P.S., Ranipur, District Haridwar before this Hon’ble Court (Annexure No.1 to this writ petition) as fair and partially as expeditiously as possible, or within the time granted by this Hon’ble Court, which this Hon’ble court may deem fit and proper in the present circumstances of the case.” 4. This Court vide order dated 09.06.2025 directed State counsel to bring on record the progress report of the investigation. 5. Today State counsel is ready with the progress report of the investigation dated 17.06.2025, in writing, which is taken on record. 6. State counsel contends as per the progress report that, after investigation, a chalani report was submitted against Uvesh s/o Peeru – a Juvenile, as he was a juvenile on the date of incident and another accused persons – Sohail and Sameer have been exonerated. 7. Since the chalani report has been submitted by the Police after investigation, nothing remains to be decided in the present criminal writ petition. 8. Accordingly writ petition stands closed. However it is open to the petitioner to take legal course, available to him, 2 under law, against exoneration of co-accused persons. (Pankaj Purohit, J.) 17.06.2025 SK
