27.11.2025 Court No.28 Item No.83 tbsr Reject CRM (A) 3696 of 2025 In Re: - An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 in connection with Tehatta P.S. Case No. 803 of 2025 dated 07.10.2025 under Sections 107/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. And In the matter of: Rabindranath Halder ….Petitioner. Mr. Asraf Mandal ….for the petitioner Smt. Sujata Das Mr. Sufi Kamal ….for the State Heard the learned counsels for the parties. Perused the case diary. The prosecution case is that the petitioner and another had rebuked and humiliated a 11 years old boy on the allegation of misappropriating Rs. 200/-. The accused even came to the house of the petitioner to humiliate the victim’s mother. This prompted the boy to go back home and commit suicide. Reliance is placed on statements of the relatives of the minor victim as well as other witnesses. Considering the incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
