Through the instant writ petition filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, a prayer is made for quashing an order dated 28.03.2025/01.04.2025 (Annexure P-4), wherethrough, the respondents- distribution licensee has ordered to disconnect the domestic electricity connection to the house of the present petitioner, without issuing any show cause notice and without assigning any valid reason. 2. This Court vide order dated 01.07.2025, at the time of issuing notice of motion directed learned counsel for the respondents- distribution licensee to inform this Court the reasons for passing such an order of disconnection of domestic electricity connection. 3. Today, learned counsel for the respondents-distribution licensee informs this Court that a show cause notice was served to the DHARAM VIR 2025.07.08 09:59 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CWP-17199-2025 -2- petitioner and only thereafter, the decision regarding disconnection of the electricity connection vide order (supra), has been taken. 4. Faced with the above fact, as disclosed by learned counsel of the respondents-distribution licensee, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to approach the Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum concerned, at first instance, to raise all the pleas, as have been raised before this Court. 5. The aforesaid prayer is not opposed by learned counsel for the respondents-distribution licensee. Therefore, considering the above, the petitioner is relegated to the Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum concerned, for redressal of his grievance, as raised before this Court. 6. In case, the petitioner approaches the Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum concerned by filing an apt motion, within a period of 10 days from today, the latter concerned, shall make its all endeavours to decide the same within a period of 02 months, thereafter, after giving an adequate opportunity to hearing to the parties concerned. 7. It is open for the petitioner to file an apt application before the Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum concerned, seeking interim relief on account disconnection of electricity connection. 8.
