Petitioner is defendant in Original Suit No. 186 of 2020, which is pending before learned Civil Judge (S.D.), Roorkee, District Haridwar. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following relief:- (i) A writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the Learned Civil Judge (S.D.), Roorkee, District Haridwar, to expeditiously conclude and decide Original Suit No. 186 of 2020, titled as “Smt. Sumitra and Surendra Kumar and another” within a period of three months or within such time as this Hon’ble Court deems fit. 3. Having regard to the huge pendency of cases in District Courts at Haridwar, the direction as prayed for, cannot be granted. Although, the suit was allegedly filed in 2020, but there are several suits, which are filed in earlier years also, therefore, no precedence can be given to the suit under reference. 4. The writ petition, however, is disposed of with a request to the Court concerned to make endeavour to decide the suit at an early date.
