NATARAJ ORAL ORDER The petitioners have sought for a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct the respondent Nos.1 to 3 to inspect the premises at Ashwath Katte Ground, Sunkenahalli, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru-560 004 and forthwith stop the ongoing unauthorized fair and amusement rides mentioned in their representation dated 12.11.2025 submitted to the respondent No.2. They have also sought for a direction to the respondent Nos.1 and 3 to strictly follow the Greater Bengaluru Governance Act, 2024 and ensure that no public fair and/or amusement is permitted without lawful approvals, fire and other mandatory clearances. 2. When this petition was listed for orders, the learned counsel for respondent Nos.1 to 3 has filed a memo and enclosed therewith certain documents to show that the respondent Nos.1 to 3 have already cleared the aforementioned Ashwath Katte ground and no activity is undertaken in the ground. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:49638 WP No. 34366 of 2025 3. In that view of the matter, this writ petition has become infructuous in so far as the relief (a) is concerned. However, in future, whenever respondent Nos.1 to 3 intend to allow public parks and pubic grounds to be used for exhibitions and fair activities, same shall be done in accordance with the Greater Bengaluru Authority Governance Act, 2024.
