The petitioner prays for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to enter her name in the record of Registrar (Birth & Death). When the petitioner was born, column of her name was left blank. Now, she is married having two children. She wants to join her husband in Italy. 2. Learned counsel representing the State submits that such addition was permissible upto 31.12.2024. However, the request of the Registrar (Birth & Death) for extending the time is pending before the Registrar General of India. 3. The petitioner is only praying for incorporation of her name in the record of the Registrar (Birth & Death). The State also does not have any serious objection. 4. Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, the writ petition is allowed.
