JUSTICE JAVED IQBAL WANI, JUDGE (ORDER) 02.04.2025 1 Short grievance projected in the instant petition by the petitioner filed under Article 226 of the Constitution is that though he has made an application before the respondent 3 herein for effecting correction in the relevant revenue records qua land covered under Survey No. 889, situated at Hayan Trehgam, Kupwara and though respondent 3 upon entertaining the said application forwarded the same to the Tehsildar for necessary action who in turn referred the same to the Naib-Tehsildar Trehgam being respondents 4 & 5 herein respectively, no action thereof till date has been taken by the respondents, thus, necessitating the filing of the instant petition before this Court. 2. According to the counsel for the petitioner since the respondents have failed to discharge their statutory duty till date in the matter, the petitioner has been left with no option but to seek indulgence of this Court in the matter, thus the counsel for the petitioner would seek disposal of the petition at this stage with an innocuous direction to the respondents in general and respondents 3-5 in particular to consider the matter covered in the aforesaid application and pass appropriate orders without any delay. 3. Having regard to aforesaid submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner and without expressing any opinion as to the merits of the case, it is deemed appropriate to dispose of the instant petition at this stage without issuing notice to the respondents and calling for any returns therefrom.
