JAYESH MOHANKUMAR, SC THIS OP (DEBT RECOVERY TRIBUNAL) HAVING COME UP FOR ADMISSION ON 04.04.2025, THE COURT ON THE SAME DAY DELIVERED THE FOLLOWING: OP (DRT) NO. 121 OF 2025 2 2025:KER:30569 JUDGMENT The petitioner has approached this Court essentially seeking extension of time to comply with the condition imposed in Ext.P8 interim order of the Debts Recovery Tribunal-I Ernakulam in SA No.347/2024. By that order, the petitioner was granted a stay subject to condition that the petitioner would remit a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- by 28.03.2025 and a further sum of Rs.5,00,000/- by 28.04.2025. 2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that on account of certain unforeseen circumstances, the petitioner was not able to pay the amount payable on 28.03.2025 and some further time may be granted to the petitioner to pay the amounts in terms of the directions contained in the interim order of the Tribunal. 3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent bank submits that the petitioner may be required to pay the entire amount payable by the petitioner in terms of Ext.P8 interim order by 28.04.2025. 4. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner may be given some further accommodation. OP (DRT) NO. 121 OF 2025 3 2025:KER:30569 5. Having heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondent bank and having regard to the facts and circumstances of this case, this Original Petition will stand disposed of directing that if the petitioner pays a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- by 28.04.2025 and a further amount of Rs.5,00,000/- by 15.05.2025, the same shall be treated as full compliance with the directions contained in Ext.P8 order.
