Prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Head Mistress in accordance with Punjab State Education Class-III (School Cadre) Service Rules, 1978. 2. Learned counsel submits that during pendency of the present petition, the seniority of masters/mistresses working in the Education Department has been recasted, vide Annexure P-10 wherein her name figures at Serial No.3616 while the employees junior to her starting from seniority No.3619 onwards stand promoted. He thus, on instructions prays that a direction may be given to the respondents to reconsider her case in a time bound manner, to which learned State counsel has no objection. 3. In view of the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to reconsider the case of the petitioner, within a period of 4 months, which this Court MOHIT 2025.07.08 18:45 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CWP-21478-2018 (O&M) -2- has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner.
