SANDEEP MOUDGIL, J (ORAL) The present petition has been preferred under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a direction to respondents No.1 to 3 to safeguard the life and liberty of the petitioner in the hands of respondents No. 4 and 5. In the present case notice of motion was issued on 22.07.2024 and direction was issued of respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur to ensure that no harm shall be caused to the petitioner and the matter was adjourned for 03.09.2024. On 03.09.2024, an affidavit was filed by Harkrishan Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division Sri Hargobindpur, Police District Batala and the case was adjourned for 01.10.2024 for arguments. Thereafter, either there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner or the turn of the case could not reach due to paucity of time. However, perusal of affidavit dated 02.09.2024 shows that the threat perception raised in the present petition does not survive at this stage.
