These appeals are preferred by the State against the common impugned judgment and award dated 29.09.2011 passed by the learned Civil Judge, Senior Division, Latur District Latur in L.A.R. Nos. 209/2003, 232/2003, 233/2003, 234/2003, 235/2003, 236/2003, 237/2003 and 662/2002. 4 of 6 (( 5 )) 917 FA NO. 1579 OF 2015 2. Learned AGP for the State pointed out that the S.L.A.O had granted compensation ranging from Rs.2,000/- to Rs.2,400/- per R for the acquired lands of the claimants. However, the Reference Court enhanced the said amount and awarded compensation ranging from Rs.5,600/- to Rs.7,000/- per R. Learned AGP further submitted that in view of the Government Resolution dated 03.11.2016 and the subsequent corrigendum dated 23.02.2017 and 13.08.2018, the State Government has resolved not to file or contest any appeal where the amount of compensation awarded by the Reference Court is within four times of the amount awarded by the S.L.A.O. He submitted that the First Appeals filed by the State deserve to be disposed of as per the policy decision of the State Government, as the compensation awarded by the Reference Court is not more than four times the amount awarded by the S.L.A.O. 3. Considering the submissions of the learned AGP as well as the policy decision of the State Government, the appeals deserve to be disposed of. The First Appeals are disposed of accordingly. 4. The claimants have already withdrawn 75% of the compensation amount. The Registry is directed to pay the remaining 25% of the amount of compensation, along with the accrued interest 5 of 6 (( 6 )) 917 FA NO. 1579 OF 2015 thereon to the claimants.
