By means of the instant petition, the petitioner seeks renewal of Patta in his favour. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the file. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was granted Patta, but it is not being renewed despite the representation dated 12.01.2024 having been filed before the respondent no. 1/Sub Divisional Magistrate, Bhagwanpur, District Haridwar. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the respondent authorities may be directed to take a decision on the representation of the petitioner dated 12.01.2024 within a stipulated period. Learned State Counsel gives a statement that the representation of the petitioner dated 12.01.2024 will be decided by the respondent no. 1 within a period of six weeks from today. The Court takes on record the statement made by the learned counsel for the State. In view thereof, the writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondent no. 1/Sub Divisional Magistrate, Bhagwanpur, District Haridwar within a period of six weeks from today.
