This Court vide order dated 03.07.2025 had adjourned the case on the request of learned State Counsel to enable him to get instructions regarding the stand taken by the applicant that some individual has put his signboard on the land belonging to the State Government. 4. Today, learned State Counsel has produced in Court written instructions received from Tehsildar Doiwala, District Dehradun, which is taken on record. Based on said written instructions, State Counsel submits that the team of Revenue Officials visited the land in question on 09.07.2025 and the allegations made by counsel for the applicant, on the last day, was found to be correct, as there was a signboard in which name of Sri Indra Singh Khatri was mentioned as owner of the land. He submits that the said board has now been removed and the board has been placed, indicating that the land belongs to State Government and encroachers will be punished. He thus submits that now the grievance raised by the applicant is redressed and the compliance of the order passed by Writ Court has also been made. He assures the Court that the Revenue Officials will regularly visit the land in question and also ensure that no one is able to make encroachment or sell off the Government land to private individuals. 5. Accordingly, the contempt petition is closed by taking the statement of State Counsel on record.
