Learned AGA has filed a memo which reads as under: MEMO It is respectfully submitted as under: The State of Karnataka after due deliberation has decided to issue No Objection Certificate to the Registrar, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), for PG course 2024-25 stating to withdraw the affiliation which was given to the Petitioner institution. Copy of the No Objection Certificate is produced herein as Document No.1. It is submitted that a communication has been also addressed to the Dean, Srinivasa Institution of Medical Sciences and Research Centre dated 15.11.2024, wherein it is stated that the State does not have any objection in the RGUHS withdrawing its affiliation granted to the Petitioner Institution. However, the permission which may be required from other National Accreditation bodies would have to be obtained by the said Institution for the PG course 2024-25 to affiliate itself with Srinivasa University. His submission is that in terms of the documents produced along with the said memo, the State does not have any objection for RGUHS withdrawing the affiliation granted to the petitioner and the petitioner to be affiliated to Srinivasa University. His further submission is that a correspondence in this regard has been addressed to the Karnataka Examination Authority [KEA] along with seat matrix prepared for the Srinivasa University so as to enable the KEA to make necessary changes on to its website in respect of seat sharing, as also fixing the fee in respect of each of the course by the University. 3. Learned AGA submits that the correspondence in this regard will be issued by the end of the day today. 4. Sri.N.K.Ramesh, learned counsel for respondent No.4-KEA submits that within two hours from the date of receipt of said correspondence, necessary update to the website would be made by respondent No.4 so as to enable counselling for Post Graduate students of the petitioner. His submission is placed on record. 5. Learned AGA seeks for and is granted two weeks’ time to place Standard Operating Procedure - 7 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:47729 WP No. 22330 of 2024 in respect of affiliation and or disaffiliation where a private university/deemed university. 6. Relist on 9.12.2024.” 4. A memo of even date is filed along with copies of the approval letters dated 27.06.2025 and 15.11.2024. The said memo reads as under:- “The Petitioner submits that the State Government has accorded formal permission recognizing the Petitioner institution as affiliated to Srinivas University from the academic year 2024-25 for UG as well as PG. Copy of the approval letter dated 27.06.2025 for UG and approval letter dated 15.11.2024 is produced herewith for kind perusal of this Hon’ble court.” 5. In view of the said memo along with the documents, which indicated that the State Government has accorded formal permission recognizing the petitioner Institution as affiliated to Srinivas University from the academic year 2024-25 for Under Graduate as well as Post Graduate, as in terms of the approval letters dated 27.06.2025 and 15.11.2024, I am of the considered opinion that the present petition deserves to be disposed of, issuing direction as sought for by the petitioner. 6. In the result, I hereby pass the following: - 8 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:47729 WP No. 22330 of 2024 ORDER i) The Writ Petition is hereby allowed. ii) The respondents are directed to modify the web-portals kea.kar.nic.in and cetonline.karnataka.gov.in, to delete the fact of petitioner Institution being affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and to mention that the petitioner Institution is affiliated to Srinivas University, Mangalore, if not already done as on today, as expeditiously as possible and at any rate, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
