1. This petition has been filed under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, alleging wilful disobedience of the judgment and order dated 23.01.2020 (Annexure P-1) passed by this Court in CWP-2570-2015.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the respondent-State had assailed the said judgment by way of LPA-665-2020, however, vide order dated 28.04.2025, the same was dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to file review application against the judgment passed by the Writ Court. It is further submitted that more than three months have passed but neither any review application has been filed nor the order is being complied with.
3. At this stage, Mr. K.D. Sachdeva, DAG, Punjab, who is present in Court on an advance copy of the petition having been served on his office, puts in appearance on behalf of the respondents and submits that though
COCP-3252-2025 -2- there was some procedural delay in instituting the review application and the same is being filed today. He assures that the E-filing acknowledgement receipt of the review application would be furnished to the Bench Secretary by the end of the day. Accordingly, the case was passed over.
4. On resumed hearing, learned State counsel has filed an acknowledgement slip bearing E-filing No.APB20240002928C202500407, dated 11.07.2025.
5. In view of the aforesaid, no further orders are called for at this stage and the petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to seek revival of the same upon decision of the review application, if any cause of action still survives.
