1. By the present writ petition, the petitioner is seeking a direction towards the respondent State authorities to take action against the respondents No.9 to 18 on whose instance, the petitioner and his family members are being socially boycotted and excluded from social functions of the Sunni Muslim Community.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that respondent No.9/ the President of Muslim Jamat/Nagina Maszid Committee, Takhatpur alongwith other members of the said committee have socially boycotted the petitioner and his family members from the aforesaid Community since 2019 but in spite of repeated intimation and requests to the District Administration as well as to the Police, no initiative has been taken by the respondent authorities with respect to the complaint filed by the petitioner.

Learned counsel appearing for respondents No.7 & 8 submits that the petitioner has also submitted a representation to the State Waqf Board and on the said complaint, respondent No.7 sought clarification from the Masjid Committee and the Committee has
4 / 4 intimated the Waqf Board that there is no such boycott or exclusion is ever done as alleged by the petitioner.

Learned counsel appearing for the State submits that as the petitioner has stated that he alongwith his family members has been socially boycotted, the SDO (Revenue), Takhatpur will look into the matter by considering the grievance raised by the petitioner and the same shall be redressed within the stipulated period.
5. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the pleading made by the petitioner.
6. From perusal of the complaint made by the petitioner, it appears that the petitioner is raising a grievance that he and his family members are socially boycotted by the respondents No.9 to 18 and they are being excluded from various functions of Muslim Community.
7. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of reserving liberty in favour of the petitioner to approach before the concerned SDO within a period of seven days alongwith the copy of this
Order and thereafter the respondent No.4/ SDO (Revenue), Takhatpur is directed to look into the matter and redress the grievance raised by the petitioner by affording proper opportunity to all the parties within a further period of 30 days. Sd/- (BIBHU DATTA GURU)
