This Court, vide order dated 23.07.2024, passed in MCRC No. 3492 of 2024, while rejecting the bail to the applicants, namely, Ravi Nag and Arun Jagat, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN 2 certified copy of this order, if there was no legal impediment. 3. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act) Raigarh District-Raigarh (C.G.), vide his request letter dated 17.01.2025 has requested for grant of some more time for concluding the trial. 4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that in this case, 03 prosecution witnesses have been examined and 08 prosecution witnesses have left to be examined though, due to transfer of presiding ofÏcer the case could not be completed within stipulated time. Therefore, he prays for grant of further more time for concluding the same. 5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of five months from today. 6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 7.
