The Petitioners are before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: a. Issue a writ or order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the R1 to consider the petitioners representation dated 10.7.2024 vide Annexure-X1 to X6 permitting the petitioners to carry the sale of crackers and fireworks in their business premises. b. Issue of writ or order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the R2 to consider the petitioners representation vide Annexure-C, F, J, M, Q, & T for renewal of licenses for sale of crackers & fireworks in their business premises. c. The grievance of the Petitioners is that the representations which have been submitted by the Petitioners for renewal of the licence for sale of crackers and fireworks has not been considered by the Respondents despite the same having been submitted on 10.07.2024. 3. Whenever any application for renewal of a license and or representation is submitted in that regard, it is but required for the Respondents to consider the same and pass necessary orders as expeditiously as possible. 4. In the present case, the representations have been submitted on 10.07.2024, the Respondents have not acted with the alacrity with which it was required. Hence, I pass the following: ORDER i) The Writ Petition is allowed. - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:39910 WP No. 27549 of 2024 ii) Respondents are directed to consider the representations of the petitioners dated 10.07.2024 at Annexures-X1 to X6 within a period of three days from today, that is, on or before the end of day 13.10.2025.
