Petitioner was granted FL2(O) licence for one year during Financial Year 2024-25 which has expired. He has applied for renewal of said licence, qua Garhwal region only. He, also has applied for grant of fresh FL2(O) licence for entire State. Both applications are pending before the Excise Commissioner. 3. Learned State Counsel submits that petitioner do not meet the requirement of policy for renewal of earlier licence, as the quantum of imported liquor sold by him was below 2.50 lakh litre till 31.12.2024. 4. In this writ petition, petitioner has sought a mandamus to the Competent Authority to take decision on his applications. 5. Without expressing any opinion on merits of the case, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the competent authority to take decision on petitioner’s application, as made by him on 24.03.2025, as per law within four 2025:UHC:4178-DB weeks. 6. Petitioner shall be at liberty to challenge the condition contained in Government Policy, which is coming in his way for renewal of licence. (Ashish Naithani, J.)
