The prayer in this writ petition is to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 22.11.2024 at Annexure-J given by the petitioner. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in terms of the direction given by this Court in WP No.17573/2022 dated 10.11.2022, the respondents have entered the name of the petitioners' grandfather Sri Adavappa s/o Gangappa in respect of 0.24 guntas of land in Sy.No.30/4 of Byrasandra village, Guluru Hobli, Tumakuru Taluk and District and 0.16 guntas of land in Sy.No.30/12 of the same village. However, the respondents have not acted upon the representation given by the petitioners seeking change of mutation entry in the name of the petitioners on the strength of inheritance. 4. The learned Additional Government Advocate for the respondents, however, points out that the representation is - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:33975 WP No. 1009 of 2025 given to the Deputy Commissioner and not to the Competent Authority - Tahsildar. 5. In that view of the matter, the writ petition stands disposed of reserving liberty to the petitioners to give a representation/application to the 4th respondent - Tahsidlar, Tumakuru Taluk seeking mutation entry on the strength of succession along with all the requisite information regarding legal heirs of late Sri Adavappa. If such an application is given by the petitioners, the Tahsidlar shall consider the same and issue notice to all concerned, and thereafter, pass necessary order in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, and at any rate, within a period of three months from the date when an application is given by the petitioners.
