The captioned Writ Petition is filed seeking following reliefs: a. To quash the proceedings before the District Magistrate, Ramanagara in No.LAQ/CR/19/2023. b. Directing the Respondent not to put up high- tension lines in property bearing Survey Nos.23/1, 23/2, 23/3, 24/1, 24/2, 24/3, 24/4, 178/1, 179/1, 179/2, 179/3, 179/4, 180/1, 180/2, 180/3, 183/1, 183/2, 184/1, 184/2, 184/3, 185, 186, 197/2, 197/4, 197/5 of Bannikuppe village, Bidadi Hobli, Ramanagara Taluk, Bangalore. 3. Counsel for the respective parties urged several contentions. Heard the arguments and perused the Writ papers with care. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:26831 WP No. 6546 of 2024 4. The grievance of the petitioner is that the KPTCL is trying to lay transmission line over its land based on a Notification that was issued in 2006. Counsel for the petitioner in presenting his arguments vehemently contends that in the said notification, there is no mention of the Village name, specifically there is no mention of survey numbers. By way of reply, counsel Sri.H.V.Devaraju., on instructions submits that a fresh Notification has been issued on 15.03.2024 notifying the name of the village - Bannikuppe. Hence, he submits that if at all the petitioner has any grievance, they may approach the District Magistrate to put forth their contentions in the pending proceedings. He also submits that till the consideration of petitioner's grievance, the respondent shall not precipitate the matter. Counsel submits that a memo has been filed furnishing the copy of the Notification dated 15.03.2024 and the same may be placed on record and an appropriate order may be passed. Submission is noted. The petitioner is directed to appear before the District Magistrate, Ramanagara, to put forth their contentions and grievances in the pending proceedings. The District Magistrate should strictly adhere to the principles of natural justice and act in accordance with the law. Till consideration of the contentions and the grievances of the petitioner, the respondent shall not precipitate the matter. This Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case. Since the petitioner is represented by counsel, it is directed to appear before the District Magistrate, Ramanagara on 04.08.2025 without awaiting further notice from the District Magistrate. 6.
