It is the case of the petitioners that a large chunk of land has been sub-merged due to floods in river Sigaddi, therefore, for conservation of the land, safety wall and retaining wall is to be constructed in Ward No. 36, Village Bhupdevpur, Haldukhatta, District Pauri Garhwal. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. Leaned counsel for the petitioners would submit that due to floods in river Sigaddi, a large chunk of land has already been sub-merged; the land of the petitioners is adjoining to it; they have made multiple requests to the respondent authorities to construct retaining wall and safety wall, but it has not been construction; the last representation was made on 12.05.2025, but no action has been taken by the respondent authorities. Learned State Counsel gives a statement that the representation of the petitioners dated 12.05.2025 (Annexure No. 11 to the writ petition) shall be decided by the District Magistrate within a period of six weeks from today. The Court takes on record the statement given by the learned State Counsel. In view thereof, the writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the District Magistrate, Pauri Garhwal to decide the pending representation dated 12.05.2025 (Annexure No. 11 to the writ petition) within a period of six weeks from today.
