JUSTICE MOHAMMAD NAWAZ ORAL ORDER The instant petition is preferred by the petitioners to quash the FIR and complaint in Crime No.494/2024, registered at Basaveshwaranagar Police Station, Bangalore City, for the offence punishable under Section 3(5), 316(4), 318(4) of the BNS, 2023. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:43107 CRL.P No. 988 of 2025 2. The matter was referred to Bangalore Mediation Centre for amicable settlement of the dispute, vide order dated 18.07.2025. The parties have entered into a settlement during mediation and as per the mediation report dated 16.09.2025, the matter has been settled between the parties, in terms of the memorandum of settlement filed under Section 89 of CPC read with Rules 24 and 25 of the Karnataka Civil Procedure (Mediation) Rules, 2005. 3. The learned counsel appearing on both sides submit that the parties have settled the matter and the de-facto complainant/respondent No.2 is not interested in pursuing the matter, any further. 4. The mediation report is placed on record. 5. The dispute is private in nature. In view of the settlement of the dispute, no purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings.
