In the High Court at Calcutta Constitutional Writ Jurisdiction Appellate Side.
CPAN 3 OF 2026 WITH WPA 26200 of 2016
Sharat Chandra Mandal Vs. Arvind Kumar Mina
Mr. Amit Kumar Pan Ms. Tarusri Santra .... For the Petitioners.
The present contempt application has been filed alleging willful violation of the order dated 22nd July 2025 passed in WPA 26200 of 2016. Ms. Santra, learned Advocate representing the applicant, submits that although the order was duly served upon the alleged contemnor, no steps have been taken to comply with the same as yet. However, I am of the view that before taking any decision on this application, an opportunity of hearing should be afforded to the alleged contemnor. In view thereof, the petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the contempt application along with all annexures thereto and to file an affidavit of service on the returnable date. List the matter for further consideration after four (4) weeks. (Partha Sarathi Chatterjee, J.)
