Heard the counsel for the petitioner, the A.G.A. representing respondent nos. 1, 2 and 3 and Sri V.K. Gupta, for Respondent No. 4. The present petition has been filed for the following relief:- "a) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Certiorari for quashing the impugned first information report dated 5.10.2024 of Case Crime No. 400 of 2024 under sections 85, 115(2), 352, 351(3) BNS and Section 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, Police Station Jhusi, District Prayagraj. b) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent not to arrest the petitioners in pursuance of the first information report dated 5.10.2024 of Case Crime No. 400 of 2024 under sections 85, 115(2), 352, 351(3) BNS and Section 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, Police Station Jhusi, District Prayagraj." Sri Shashi Shanbker Tiwari, Additional Government Advocate has filed short counter affidavit on behalf of the State disclosing therein that the charge-sheet has been filed in this case. It has also been stated by the Respondent No. 4 that the amount of Rs. 17 lakhs has already been paid to the Respondent No. 4. Petitioners claim that the parties have entered into a compromise. The parties may file the compromise before the concerned Magistrate and take appropriate proceedings, in accordance with law. No further order is required to be passed in this writ petition. For the aforesaid reason, the present writ petition is dismissed. September 15, 2025 n.u.
