Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Deputy Advocate General for the State. 2. By an earlier order passed on 23.05.2025, recording the submission of learned Deputy Advocate General, the concerned Station House Officer was directed as under in Paragraph No.3:- “3. The concerned S.H.O. shall ensure protection to the petitioners as mandated under the Uttarakhand Witness Protection Act, 2020.” 3. Today, learned Deputy Advocate General would submit that in compliance with the directions of this Court, the concerned SHO has taken out necessary steps and made arrangements to ensure safety and security to the life and limbs of the petitioner. He would further reiterate that the petitioner being probable witness in a case, he is also 1 2025:UHC:4558-DB entitled for protection under the Uttarakhand Witness Protection Act, 2020. 4. The submission is placed on record. 5. In view of the submission and the provisions of the Uttarakhand Witness Protection Act, 2020, the petition is disposed of by reiterating the directions in Paragraph No.3 of the order dated 23.05.2025. 6. The petition stands ordered accordingly. 7. There shall be no order as to costs. 8. Pending application, if any, also stands disposed of. ________________ G.
