By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution petitioner has prayed for a writ of mandamus commanding the respondent competent authority to give compassionate appointment to the petitioner on account of her husband dying in harness on 13.09.2021. 3. It is submitted that in the above regard petitioner has made representation to the competent authority on 12.12.2024. 4. Learned Standing Counsel has no objection in case representation of the petitioner is directed to be disposed of in accordance with law. 5. In view of the above, this petition stands disposed of with the direction to the respondent No. 5 to take appropriate decision in the matter of representation of the petitioner appropriate decision shall be taken by the respondent No. 5 within a period of one month from production of certified copy of this order and thereafter if the matter is forwarded to the Gram Panchayat concerned the gram panchayat concerned shall be passing appropriate resolution within a further period of six weeks.
