1. In the present writ petition, the petitioner is praying for issuance of a direction to the respondents to release his pension along with other retiral benefits.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, on instructions from the petitioner, submits that at this stage, he will be satisfied if a direction be given to respondent No.3 to decide the legal notice dated 12.09.2024 (Annexure P-1), by passing a speaking order in a time bound manner.

4. Mr. Vikas Arora, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondents No.1 and 2 and on the asking of the Court, he also accepts notice on behalf of respondent No.3. He does not oppose the prayer, as made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.3 to consider and decide the legal notice dated 12.09.2024 (Annexure P-1), submitted by the petitioner within a period of 08 weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order by passing a speaking
order in accordance with law. In case, the petitioner is held entitled for grant of relief as per the law as claimed in the legal notice, the same be also released within a period of 04 weeks thereafter.
