1. None for the petitioners.
2. It is noticed that nobody entered appearance for the petitioners on the last date of hearing also in these PILs.
3. Learned Government counsel on 07.08.2025 made a statement that 98.7% ration cards have already been linked with Aadhaar Cards. And an affidavit to support this contention will be filed in due course.
4. Today, the report in the form of affidavit is filed by the respondent no.2 wherein in paragraph 3
it is averred that “the present public interest litigation was filed regarding linking of adhaar card with the ration cards and morefully for supply of Ration articles to person during the interregnum period when some of the Adhaar linking were pending the State respondents have taken appropriate steps to ensure supply of food grains during such period and in a most diligent manner carried on the entire exercise of Adhaar seeding with ration cards, record reveals that the total number of active ration card holders are 86959389 the Adhaar card linking to such cards stands at 85872305 i.e. at present the 98.72% adhar seeding with ration cards has already being done in the State of West Bengal”.
5. It appears that cause does not survive and, therefore, the petitioners have lost interest and not attending these matters.
6. We find no reason to disbelieve the said statement made on 07.08.2025 supported by the report of respondent no.2 dated 14th August, 2025.
7. Thus, nothing remains to be adjudicated in these PILs.
8. Accordingly, these PILs are disposed of.
