Perusal of the record of proceedings would reveal that on the four previous consecutive hearings the appearing counsel for the petitioner, Mr. Syed Muzaffar, Advocate has not appeared since 14th July, 2022 and has on multiple occasions entered appearance through proxy counsel. On 22nd February, 2024, the present proxy counsel has made submission before the Court that he be granted time to file Power of Attorney on behalf of the petitioner where-after neither such Power of Attorney has not been filed nor appearing counsel for the petitioner has appeared. 3. Today, the same counsel who sought time to file Power of Attorney is seeking an adjournment on account of non-availability of appearing counsel for the petitioner. 4. In view of the aforesaid position obtaining in the matter, seemingly, the petitioner has lost interest in prosecuting the matter anymore. The petition is, as such, dismissed for non-prosecution. 5. Interim direction, if any, operating in the matter shall also stand vacated.
