Mr. Jitendra Singh, learned advocate holding the brief appears on behalf of petitioner and submits, prayer of his client is for quashing/setting aside demand notice dated 30th September, 2024 for Rs.28,56,112.54 in respect of his electric connection. Drawing attention to copy of instructions dated 24th September, 2024 supplied to him, he points out admission therein that meter reading instrument (MRI) verification was supposed to be done on regular intervals but was not done due to neglect/inaction of the supply company. 2. Mr. Gireesh Chandra Tiwari, learned advocate Standing Counsel appears on behalf of State. Mr. Gaurav Singh, learned advocate appears on behalf of respondent nos. 3 to 5 (the supply company). He submits, dispute on bills can be raised by a consumer under clause 6.5 of U.P. Electricity Code, 2005. Notice was issued to petitioner. Subsequently petitioner filed his reply. On direction, the reply will be considered. 3. Respondent no.5 will consider petitioner's reply dated 30th July, 2025. Petitioner will communicate certified copy of this order along with representation of further contention if any with relevant documents, to said respondent. The consideration is to be made in terms of relevant clauses in the Code. The result made known to petitioner within four weeks thereof. 4. The writ petition is disposed of.
