JUSTICE SURAJ GOVINDARAJ) 1. The petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: a. Issue a Writ of Certiorari thereby quashing the impugned PST Rejection Slip dated nil issued by the Respondent No.4 vide Annexure-A. b. Issue a Writ of Mandamus thereby directing the Respondents to reconsider the candidature of the Petitioner for the post of Constable (GD) under the Constable (GD) Examination, 2025, by conducting a fair and proper re-measurement of his height as evidenced by the earlier measurements of the petitioner s height vide physical test record of 2022 vide Annexure-F and Medical Certificate vide Annexure-G. c. Issue a Writ of Mandamus thereby directing the Respondents to permit the Petitioner to participate in all further stages of the selection process pursuant to the recruitment notification dated 05/09/2024 vide Annexure-B; and d. Pass any such other and further reliefs as this Hon’ble court may deem fit to meet the ends of justice and equity. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC-D:11682 WP No. 106541 of 2025 2. The short grievance of the petitioner is that, although he qualifies for the height requirement, the measurement recorded for the post of GD in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) has disqualified him. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that on an earlier occasion, the petitioner’s height was measured at 171 centimeters, but during the recruitment test, it was recorded as 169.6 centimeters, while the eligibility criteria require a minimum of 170 centimeters. 4. Considering that the difference is marginal, I’am of the opinion, that the interest of justice would be served if the petitioner is referred to a Medical Board to ascertain the correct and accurate height. 5. Accordingly, Respondent No. 3 is directed to refer the petitioner to the appropriate Medical Board, with due - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC-D:11682 WP No. 106541 of 2025 intimation to the petitioner, within three days from receipt of a copy of this order. 6. The petitioner shall appear before the Medical Board within three days thereafter, and the Medical Board shall forward the actual and correct height of the petitioner to Respondent No. 4 within three days of such measurement. 7.
