SANDEEP MOUDGIL, J (ORAL) The jurisdiction of this Court has been invoked under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, for directing Respondents No. 2 and 3 to ensure adequate protection to the life and liberty of the Petitioner and his family from any threat, harassment or harm at the hands of Respondents No. 5 and 6, who are police officials, and to restrain them from misusing their official position or acting under the influence of local political leaders in furtherance of any personal or political vendetta; with a further prayer to issue a direction to the commanding Respondents No. 1 to 4 to conduct a fair, independent and time-bound inquiry into the Petitioner pending representations dated 01.04.2025, 30.04.2025, and 26.05.2025 (Annexures P-3 to P-5), and to decide the same by passing a reasoned and speaking order in strict accordance with law.
