Samarjit, learned DSGI assisted by Mr. N. Nongdamba, learned counsel appearing for the respondents. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner has rendered her service for more than ten years on contractual basis in the NIT, Manipur and that in the present writ petition, she is claiming for regularisation of her service. The learned senior counsel submitted that the petitioner has also assailed the impugned Advertisement in respect of the one post of Assistant Professor – Level 10 in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences and that unless an appropriate interim order for staying the recruitment process is passed, the petitioner will suffer great hardship and the present writ petition will become infructuous. The learned senior counsel, accordingly, prays for passing an appropriate interim order. Mr. Kh. Samarjit, learned DSGI appearing for the respondents submitted that the reliefs sought for by the petitioner can be granted after hearing the matter on merit and that if the petitioner succeeded in her case, all the reliefs sought for by the petitioner can be granted. It is made clear that any appointment to the post of Assistant Professor – Level 10 in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences pursuant to the impugned Advertisement shall be subject to the outcome of this writ petition.
