Mitana Kapoor The contempt application arises out of an order dated 30th October, 2002 passed in AST 1416 of 2002 subsequently renumbered as CO 3021 of 2002. On 28th June, 2021 when the matter was taken up, Bikash Shaw, a learned advocate appeared on behalf of the applicant/petitioner and sought for an adjournment. The matter was adjourned and directed to appear in the list on 1st July, 2021. Learned advocate was also directed to inform the Court on the returnable date as to whether the order, the violation of which was complained of in the contempt petition, has been complied with or not. No one appears on behalf of the applicant/petitioner today. No one on behalf of the applicant/petitioner has also applied for joining the proceedings in the virtual mode. The contemnor also remains unrepresented even today. 2 In the facts and circumstances as aforesaid, it appears that none of the parties are interested in proceeding with the matter.
