Petitioners feeling aggrieved of registration of FIR No.09/2023, registered with police of Police Station, Soura, Srinagar, for offences punishable under Section 341,323 and 506 IPC, and the proceedings pending before JMIC/2nd Additional Munsiff, Srinagar, had filed a petition under Section 528 BNSS, being CRM(M) no.118/2025 for quashing FIR and the proceedings on the ground that the parties, i.e. petitioner and respondent no.2, have entered into compromise. The said compromise was produced before the Court and after recording the statement of parties, the petition came to be
disposed of and following order passed:
“Parties are present.
The parties, through their learned counsel, submits that they have arrived at settlement and entered into compromise and statement detailing this compromise has already been recorded. Consequently, based on this submission and the recorded statement made, this petition stands disposed of.”
As the parties have entered into compromise and settled the dispute and having compounded the offences under Section 341,323 and 506 IPC, this Court decided the petition and passed the aforementioned order. The petitioner submits that on the basis of compromise so arrived at and the order passed by this Court, the FIR and the proceedings were required to

be quashed. It has not been specifically mentioned in the order while disposing of the petition that the FIR along with the proceedings pending before the court have been quashed. I have gone through the record on file. There is force in the application. The petitioners are facing trial in the aforesaid in case FIR 09/2023 of Police Station Soura, Srinagar. Parties have entered into compromise and settled the dispute. In view of the said settlement, the proceedings were required to be quashed along with the FIR as the parties have entered into compromise. Therefore, this application is allowed and order passed by this Court is modified and recast as under:
“Parties are present. The parties, through their learned counsel, submits that they have arrived at settlement and entered into compromise and statement detailing this compromise has already been recorded. Consequently, based on this submission and the recorded statement made, this petition stands allowed. FIR No.09/2023, of police station Soura, Srinagar, under Section 341,323 and 506 IPC, is quashed and the proceedings pending before JMIC/2nd Additional Munsiff, Srinagar, are set-aside.
Disposed of as above.”
This order shall be read in place of and shall form part of order dated
15.07.2025. CM disposed of.
