Learned counsel submits that passed by this Court in Sikander Singh and others vs. State of Punjab and others, CWP-4264-2021, decided on 14.10.20 were required to recast the select list by shifting the candidates to the general category, which has not been done. the order dated 05.05.2025 passed in Avtar Singh vs. State of Punjab and others, CWP-12123-2025, though the post involved therein was different, but involving the similar issue claim raised in the present petition, a representation dated 09.05.2025, Annexure P-4, has been submitted, which has yet not evoked any esponse. He refers to Avtar Singh vs. State of Punjab though the post involved therein was and states that regarding the representation dated 09.05.2025, has been submitted, which has yet not evoked any esponse. Learned State counsel has no objection to the limited prayer made. 4. In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the representation dated 09.05.2025, taking note of the afore-judgment as also the order, within a period of 6 months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to him and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith.
