Depika, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Niranjan Sanasam, learned Government Advocate for the State respondents appearing through video conferencing. [2] The petitioners, who are eight members, approach this Court inter alia praying for a direction to the respondents to consider and dispose of the representations dated 10-09-2020 and 24-12-2024 submitted by them to the Secretary/Commissioner (Revenue), Government of Manipur, the Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West, Government of Manipur and the Director, Settlement & Land Records, Manipur. [3] The petitioners are the allottees of land and the premium have already been paid. However, physical possession of the land has not been given to the petitioners. In this regard, the petitioner No. 1 submitted a representation dated 10-09-2020 to the Director, Settlement & Land Records, Manipur and the other petitioners including petitioner No. 1 submitted joint representation dated 24-12-2024 to the Secretary/ NINGOM BAM VICTORIA Digitally signed by NINGOMBAM VICTORIA Date: 2025.02.27 10:52:43 +05'30' WP(C) No. 157 of 2025 Commissioner (Revenue), Government of Manipur, the Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West, Government of Manipur and the Director, Settlement & Land Records, Manipur. [4] It is stated that the representations are still pending and the learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the writ petition may be disposed of by issuing a direction to the respondents to dispose of the pending representations within a limited time. [5] Mr. Niranjan Sanasam, learned Government Advocate appearing for the State respondents, submits that the writ petition may be disposed of as prayed for by the learned counsel for the petitioners. However, learned Government Advocate clarifies that the representation dated 24-12-2024 was received by the Office of Secretary (Revenue) on 27-01-2025 and the Directorate of Settlement & Land Records on 24-01-2025. [6] Recording the submissions made at the Bar, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents, in particular respondent No. 2, the Commissioner/Secretary (Revenue), Government of Manipur, to dispose of the pending representation dated 24-12-2024 by a speaking order as per rule within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. [7] It is made clear that this Court does not express any opinion on the merit of the case. [8] Copy of this order be furnished to the learned counsel appearing for the parties. JUDGE Victoria
