JUSTICE M.NAGAPRASANNA) 1. The petitioners are before this Court seeking the following prayer: a. “A writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent authority to consider the representation of the petitioners dated. 10-1-2025 vide Annexure-E and direct the respondent authority to release the compensation as awarded under award bearing No.LAQ.SR.3.99.2000 vide Annexure-D passed by the respondent. b. Grant any other relief/s deemed fit in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice and equity.” 2. The land belonging to the petitioners, bearing Survey No.199/1A, was notified for acquisition by the respondents. Though the final acquisition proceedings have been completed, - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC-D:18271 WP No. 108994 of 2025 compensation has not been paid to the petitioners. Therefore, the petitioners submitted a representation seeking release of the compensation already determined. As the said representation has not been considered, the petitioners have approached this Court by filing the present petition. 3. Learned HCGP submits that if reasonable time is granted, the representation of the petitioners would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed thereon. 4. In light of the said submission, I deem it appropriate to dispose of the present petition with a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioners’ representation and pass necessary orders regarding release of compensation, in accordance with law, within an outer limit of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if not earlier.
